Geoffrey Lokke (PhD, Columbia University) is a scholar of film, theatre, and literary modernism. His writing has appeared in The Routledge Companion to Absurdist Literature in addition to TDR: The Drama Review, PAJ: A Journal of Performance and Art, African American Review, Shakespeare Bulletin, Stanislavski Studies, and Adaptation, among other scholarly journals. He is the editor of The Works of Tonino Guerra (Bloomsbury Academic), a volume dedicated to the Italian screenwriter, dialect poet, and visual artist. He has edited books on Gaspar Noé and Steve McQueen for the Conversations with Filmmakers Series (University Press of Mississippi), as well as a forthcoming volume on Robert Drew, the American documentary filmmaker. He is at work on a book project devoted to lyric poetry and early documentary film in addition to critical editions of W. H. Auden and Christopher Isherwood’s collaborative plays. He teaches at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
